Snæfellsnes Peninsula Wonder of the West

Explore the Snæfellsnes Peninsula, often called "Iceland in Miniature" because it showcases almost every type of Icelandic landscape in a single area. From the iconic Kirkjufell mountain (famous from Game of Thrones) to the imposing Snæfellsjökull glacier (the setting of Jules Verne's Journey to the Centre of the Earth), this region is every photographer's dream.

You will witness dramatic coastal cliffs, golden and black sand beaches, charming fishing villages and vast moss-covered lava fields. Keep your eyes open at Ytri Tunga beach, where seal colonies often rest close to the shore.
